COVID-19 RESPONSE

With the knowledge that hand-washing is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we worked with the Resource Center of Matamoros to build 22 handwashing stations. Each station, now completed, has 4 sinks and appropriate pipe drainage throughout the camp.

To prepare for the worst, we volunteered with Global Response Management to install a COVID-19 field hospital, complete with solar panels which we operated and managed. The hospital was home to 20 reclining and collapsible hospital beds, which we helped build.

Inside the newly constructed isolation and quarantine area, we installed 2 showers and 4 clothes washing stations to help residents stay clean and healthy in the event that they were asked to reside there, to help contain the spread of COVID-19 within the camp.
